Blue Ribbon BBQ is locally owned and operated by Nick & Sara Rossi and Geoff Thomas, three life long friends that met while attending college in Washington, DC. We share a passion for cooking in general, and especially for good BBQ. Our BBQ obsession began several years ago when Nick built a backyard smoker out of two 55 gallon barrels. We proceeded to spend nearly all our free time smoking anything and everything we could think of, and countless hours in the kitchen crafting the finest hand made sauces to serve to our friends and family. With our purchase of Blue Ribbon BBQ in February 2010, we are humbled to be able to bring the same dedication to producing the highest quality BBQ for the Rockville area and beyond.

Most of the recipes on our menu are the same ones that you have come to know and love, but we are also excited to add some favorites from our own backyard 'cue experience, such as our BBQ Hot Dogs. We have also begun hand cutting and double frying our french fries daily in peanut oil, so they are always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly crisp. This is all a part of our philosophy that good food comes from good simple ingredients. At Blue Ribbon BBQ we strive to serve you only the highest quality pork, beef and chicken BBQ around. We source our ingredients from trustworthy suppliers with years of experience serving the restaurant industry.

Our fusion of authentic Carolina style pork BBQ, tender Texas style beef brisket, and falling-off-the-bone Memphis style spare and baby back ribs all hickory smoked to perfection sets our restaurant above and beyond the competition that prescribes to only one style of 'cue.
